Position Summary
Haywire is seeking an experienced OSP/ISP Lead Technician to install, build out, and maintain network infrastructure across a variety of environments, including MDUs, outdoor plant sites, and active construction projects. The technician will work independently and may lead small teams on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities

CPE Installation

• Mount indoor and outdoor access points, ONTs, and switches
• Install ceiling, wall, and pole-mount hardware
• Run and terminate Cat6/Cat6A cabling
• Record and document device MAC addresses, serial numbers, and installation locations

Rack & Infrastructure Build-Out

• Install 2-post and 4-post racks, wall-mount cabinets, and backboards
• Mount and cable patch panels and power systems
• Dress, route, and label cabling to ISP standards

Fiber Optic Work 

• Terminate single-mode fiber
• Perform fusion splicing for pigtails, drops, distribution fibers, and splitter trays
• Build, dress, and label splice trays and slack storage
• Test and validate fiber links using appropriate test equipment
• Install indoor and outdoor fiber enclosures

Outside Plant (OSP) 

• Install and splice into hand holes
• Pull fiber through conduit and innerduct; install and seal at building entry points
• Work with figure-8, loose tube, and ribbon fiber cables
• Perform OTDR testing,

Qualifications

• Prior experience in ISP, OSP, low-voltage, or structured cabling installation
• Ability to work independently and lead small teams as needed
• Willingness to work in MDUs, outdoor plant environments, and active construction sites
• Strict adherence to PPE requirements and all site safety rules
• Commitment to maintaining clean, organized work areas and leaving customer spaces in good condition
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass a drug screening and background check

Preferred

• BICSI certification (Installer 1, Installer 2, or Technician)
• OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) certification
• Fiber termination, fusion splicing, and OTDR/fiber testing experience
