Position Description
Haywire is seeking a motivated student interested in learning more about fiber-optic internet. This internship is designed for undergraduate students who are seeking a career in IT related fields. As a Haywire Intern, you will:
- Learn and support the full lifecycle of providing internet service to Haywire customers
- Gain practical experience working with the latest fiber optic and wireless hardware
- Engage directly with customers to resolve technical concerns and ensure high-quality service
- Participate in project costing and project management exercises
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, upgrade, support Haywire equipment
- Provide timely and effective support to customers via phone, email, or text channels
- Collaborate with other departments to escalate and resolve complex technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Document customer interactions, technical solutions, and service requests accurately in the CRM systems
- Create, review, maintain internal support documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide feedback to enhance the customer support experience
- Work with a senior project manager to develop project plans
- Review completed projects for costing accuracy and future project estimation improvement
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a technical college or university program related to:
- Networking
- Information Technology
- Computer Science (or similar)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing)
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable working with tools and technical equipment
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
